Are hair bonds harmful to the hair?
When applied and cared for professionally, hair extensions are not harmful. However, improper or prolonged use can damage your natural hair.
Which is better, bonding or tape?
The choice between tape-in and bonded extensions depends heavily on your individual needs, preferences, and lifestyle. Bonded extensions offer long-lasting hold, a natural look, and only need to be replaced every 3–6 months, but they are more complex to maintain and require more upkeep. Tape-in extensions are more flexible, easier, and quicker to apply and maintain, but they need to be repositioned more frequently.
What colors of bonding extensions does chaarmant offer?
Charmant Bonding Extensions are available in various standard colors, ranging from #60 Light Blonde to #1 Black. By mixing different shades, it is possible to achieve almost any desired color result.
What lengths and packaging units of bondings does chaarmant offer?
The charm bondings are available in lengths of 40 cm and 55 cm. One pack contains 100 strands (75 g). Some colors are also available in smaller packs of 10 strands (10 g).
How much do bonding extensions from chaarmant cost?

Can I have my bondings applied at the chaarmant flagship store?
Currently, our flagship store in Vienna only offers the application of tape-in extensions. However, we would be happy to advise you in person about our bonded extensions, which are available both online and directly in the flagship store.
How are chaarmant bonding extensions attached?
Bonding extensions are equipped with a bonding granulate and are attached to the natural hair using the special heat clamp from chaarmant, which is already suitable for the pre-formed U-tip bonds.
Can you apply bonding using a hair straightener?
No, only a special heat clamp should be used for applying bondings.
How long does it take to integrate bondings?
Depending on the amount of hair used and the experience of the person applying the bonding extensions, the application process takes approximately 2 to 4 hours, including preparation.
Can I apply bondings myself at home?
With some experience and skill, you can apply your bonded extensions yourself at home. However, we recommend having them applied by a professional stylist to ensure the extensions hold securely and don't damage your natural hair.
Is it permissible to shorten the U-tip of the bonding?
No, the connection points of the bonds should not be shortened, as the bonds are already equipped with the optimal amount of granules.
How many pieces and grams of real hair are contained in a pack of chaarmant bondings?
One pack of chaarmant Bondings contains 75 grams, which corresponds to 100 real hair strands of 0.75 g each.
On average, how many bonds are needed for a hair extension?
For a full set of bonded hair extensions, you need at least 100g, which corresponds to approximately 130 strands. However, the exact amount depends on the desired length, volume, and density of your own hair.
How many bonds are needed for hair thickening?
For hair thickening with bondings, approximately 75 grams (100 individual strands) are needed, although the exact amount depends on the hair density and the desired volume.
How often do bonded extensions need to be reapplied?
Bonds typically last about 3 to 6 months, depending on the care of the extensions and your hair growth. After 4 months at the latest, the bonds become visible, which is why we recommend renewing them. After removing the bonds, you will need new bonding granules to reattach the strands.
How long can I reuse my charm bonding extensions?
chaarmant Bonding Extensions are made of premium human hair and, with proper care, can therefore be reused for up to one year.
How do you properly remove hair bonds from your own hair?
With the bonding method, narrow strands of extensions are fused to your own hair using a heat clamp and tiny bonding granules. To gently remove the bonds, you will need the chaarmant Extensions Remover (Step 1) and professional bonding pliers. Apply the chaarmant Extensions Remover (Step 1) to the bonding points, let it sit briefly, open the bonds with the pliers, and carefully remove the extensions – NEVER cut them out! Comb out any remaining residue from your own hair with the chaarmant Adhesive Residue Cleaner (Step 2).
How can I reuse my bondings?
To reuse bonded extensions, they must be re-bonded. This involves removing the old bonds and applying new granules to the strands. For light extensions, use the transparent chaarmant bonding granules, and for dark extensions, use the black chaarmant bonding granules.
How do you care for bonded piercings?
Unfortunately, hair tends to tangle easily around the bonding points. Therefore, you should brush your hair several times a day close to the scalp and separate the bonded strands. Use the special chaarmant extensions brush, which is particularly gentle on the hair, as well as care products such as the chaarmant N5 Daily Oil Elixir and the N2 Ultimate Hair Mask.
How do you wash hair with bonded extensions?
Hair with bonded extensions should be washed gently. As little tension as possible should be applied to the bonds, and washing with the head tilted downwards should be avoided.
Can I style bonded hair extensions with heat tools?
Yes, you can use a flat iron and curling iron as long as you apply a good heat protectant spray beforehand. Be sure to set the heat to a moderate level to avoid damaging the bonds, and make sure the heat isn't applied directly to the bonds.
Can I go to a tanning salon with bonding tattoos?
Yes, you can go to a tanning salon with bonded extensions. However, make sure that your scalp and the extensions are protected from the heat.
How can I prevent my bonded hair extensions from becoming matted?
Daily separation, brushing several times a day, and regular care with suitable products are recommended. For bonded extensions, a professional cleaning every two months at the hairdresser is advised.
Can I go swimming with bonding rings?
